Gold prices edge lower in Pakistan

Gold price in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan went down on Tuesday. The cost of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs500 per tola, reaching Rs240,000. Last week, the price of 24-karat gold had already fallen by Rs6,400 per tola. This means that over the past two weeks, the total loss in value for 24-karat gold has been Rs14,200 per tola, which is about 5.63%.


The Karachi Sarafa Association said that the price of 24-karat gold was Rs205,761 for 10 grams, which went down by Rs429 from the previous day. Also, the cost of 22-karat gold dropped to Rs188,615 for 10 grams.

Silver prices in the local market stayed the same. The price for 24-karat silver was Rs2,620 per tola and Rs2,254.8 for 10 grams.

Internationally, the spot gold price was close to $2,314.5 per ounce, which was 0.41% lower than the previous day’s closing price.
